NO ONES HERO "s/t" & "the bridge is burning down" 7"s
Pennsylvania has produced some pretty awesome hardcore bands over the past 20 years and I've been fortunate enough to witness many of them. Some have received great status and acclaim and others are virtually unknown at this point. 15 years ago there was a band called NO ONES HERO who I believe were from the Lancaster PA area. Other than these 2 7"s featured here I am unaware of any other releases from this band. I was lucky enough to see them live a few times in 1992-94 and their sets were always very energetic and passionate. I would have liked to have seen what more this band could have accomplished. Judging by these releases I could have easily pictured them opening up for Unbroken on a full US tour. The recording on the "S/T" 7inch is a little muddy but the rawness really works with it. I love some of their transitions and tempo changes. A few of these tracks have really stood the test of time for me and upon hearing them again I still feel that energy. The 2nd 7" has a slightly better recording quality to it. Check them out and enjoy some older PA HC.

This band was a Unisound fav., as well as a Scarlet O'Hara's favorite. There was also a 4 song demo available as well. Some of these dudes went on to play in a band called Fisticuffs, and I think maybe a band called Christian Science AD. Both sounded like P. Idead.
I'm not sure if it's the same band, but there's a self-titled 7" on Mother Box Records by a band called No One's Hero, also from around that time (no date printen anywhere on that 7" tho). They sound the same as this one tho... And awesome as well, hahhaa... Lemme know if you want me to hook you up with mp3's of the 7".
I've been looking for some NOH forever. thanks!
I've been looking for this stuff for years. I was lucky enough to see them numerous times at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA and must say they were excellent. Thanks
Its so funny to see this. I am putting a copy of the s/t 7" up on ebay next week. I hope some one still looks for this stuff. I am putting it up for $1.49 but hope to get more
I'm 3 years behind every other post but......who gives a shit. I miss these guys! Definitely a band WAY ahead of their time.
Wow, THANK YOU for putting this up. I remember my friends wearing the No One's Hero t-shirt in highschool and hearing them on our local radio (in East Stroudsburg, PA).
Scarlett's in Bethlehem, Sea Seas in Scranton, Unisound, Chameleon Club...I remember all of those places.
Remember the band Sledgehammer from Stroudsburg, PA?
Sledgehammer was from Allentown I believe.
No One's Hero now has their releases available for free download (though I would happily have paid) on their bandcamp page! (And to follow up: Sledgehammer was from the Lehigh Valley in general, scattered in the Bethlehem and A-Town region). On a side-note that nobody cares about but me, our band (ORDEAL) had the honor of opening for No One's Hero at Scarlet's and Unisound in the early '90s.
hey punkrawka I've got the Ordeal 7" (sunspot records) 7" in my collection!
