Fuck man Undertow and Unbroken together!! To think I would have been 11....heh, EMS, who were Downcast?? I see that 7 Generations covered a tune of Downcast on their split with Die Young (aren't you releasing that???)

Downcast was the very first record put out on Ebullition records (Kent McClard from Heart Attack fanzines label). Im not sure of the year but i imagine way early 90s. It was very political / socially minded stuff but really agressive and punk/hardcore. Def influenced bands like Struggle, Unbroken, and most of the CA crust punk scene probably. You can read more about their releases here. I think it's a pretty important release for that era. And yeah, 7 Generations just covered a song from that 7" on a record I put out last month. Click here for more info on that. - EMS

Downcast wasted SO many good mosh riffs by not "allowing" moshing at their shows.

Kent McClard went on to wear really short jean shorts.

the closest i got to this show was seeing Unbroken in CT while the singer was wearing an Undertow shirt.

Downcast was amazing though...such a shame that Jara wasnt awesome...

I love the Jara 7". Who was the new 1.6 band? Why am I 5 years late on this?
